We’ve been gone for 35 years, and we came back with everything San Antonio remembers — plus a few things you’ve never seen. Veteran-Owned, west-side proud, and making every crust fresh. That’s what makes us different.
The Comeback: 35 Years in the Making
Godfather’s Pizza left San Antonio a long time ago. If you grew up here in the ’80s, you remember the old buffet days — the crust, the Taco Pie, the whole deal. Then it was gone.
The short version of our comeback story: a San Antonio Veteran decided to bring it back. Not a franchise investor from out of state. A guy who grew up eating this pizza, served his country, and came home wanting to do something right here in the city he loves. So he did.
We opened on the west side — 8530 SH 151 Access Rd, right near SeaWorld — because that’s where we belong. Close to JBSA, close to Helotes, close to the families we grew up with. Veteran-Owned and operated, and proud of it.

The Crust: Five Ways to Do It Right
Most pizza places give you one crust and call it a day. We give you five. Our crust guide breaks down all of them, but here’s the quick version.
The Original is what people remember — thick, chewy, built to hold a serious amount of toppings without falling apart on you. The Golden Crust is something else entirely: buttery, slightly crisp on the bottom, with a pull that makes you slow down and actually notice what you’re eating. If you haven’t tried it, start there.
Thin crust is here for when you want the toppings to carry the whole show. The Mozzarella Stuffed crust does exactly what the name says. And yes, we have Gluten-Free for the folks who thought they’d never get to eat here — small size, same real toppings.
The Menu: Something Worth Coming Back For
Our full menu has more on it than people expect. Specialty pizzas run $13.99 to $34.50 depending on size. But let’s talk about the ones worth ordering first.
The legendary Taco Pie is the reason half of San Antonio remembers us. Taco sauce, seasoned beef, cheddar and mozzarella — then lettuce, tomatoes, and onions go on fresh after it comes out of the oven. It’s not a gimmick. It’s genuinely one of the best things on the menu, and it’s been that way since the ’80s.
The Classic Combo is the one to order when you want everything done right: pepperoni, beef, sausage, black olives, mushrooms, and onions on Signature Sauce. The All-Meat Combo adds ham, bacon, and Italian sausage to the pile. Both are in our top 5 pizzas for a reason.
If you want to go big, the Super Combo and Super Taco are the upgraded versions — more toppings, bigger flavor, same price range of $15.99 to $37.75. The Super Taco even comes with a taco packet per slice.
Wings are $16.49 to $26.49 for half or full orders — bone-in or boneless, with naked, buffalo, or BBQ sauce. Our sides include cheesesticks, potato wedges, garlic bread, and salads. And if you’ve never had the Cinnamon Monkey Bread warm out of the oven, that’s a wrong we’d like to help you fix.
Feasts start at $35.99 (feeds 4–6) and go up to $75.00 for the Large Pizza Pack that feeds 12–16. That’s four large one-topping pizzas for seventy-five bucks.
The Experience: Dine In, Pick Up, Deliver, or Cater
We have a real dining room. Come in, sit down, eat hot pizza the way it’s supposed to be eaten. We’re open Sunday through Thursday 11am to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday until 10pm. Is this the same Godfather’s Pizza that was here in the ’80s?
Yes — same brand, same recipes, same Taco Pie you remember. Godfather’s Pizza is a national franchise, and our San Antonio location brings back the same menu that earned its reputation here decades ago. If you grew up eating here, it’ll taste exactly like you remember.
Is Godfather’s Pizza San Antonio Veteran-Owned?
Yes. Our owner is a San Antonio Veteran who opened this location to bring Godfather’s back to the city after 35 years. Serving the community — especially our JBSA neighbors — is a big part of why we’re here.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver to the west side and surrounding San Antonio neighborhoods. Order online at godfathers.orderexperience.net or call (210) 750-2222. Delivery times vary — calling ahead on busy nights (Fridays especially) is a smart move.
