Hundreds of families every month go through the ritual of someone deploying or coming home. The first meal after a long deployment, or the last meal before a long one, carries weight that a Domino’s delivery order doesn’t honor.

What to Order for a Homecoming

A homecoming meal is a celebration. It’s usually the whole family, sometimes extended family, often at least a dozen people. Here’s how to think about ordering:

For a family of 6–10: Two large specialty pizzas plus a large 1-topping gives you variety without overdoing it. Classic Combo, Taco Pie, and a pepperoni as the crowd-pleaser is a reliable three-pizza combination. Add wings and cheesesticks for a full spread.

For a larger gathering of 15–20: Our Pizza Pack (four large 1-topping pizzas for $75) anchors the order, and you add two or three specialty pies on top for variety. For a small family dinner: One large specialty pizza — let the returning service member pick — plus sides. Make it personal.

Deployment Sendoffs

The night before someone deploys is a different kind of meal. It’s more solemn, more intentional. The food still needs to be good — maybe better than usual — but the order is often simpler. Fewer people, more personal. A few pizzas that the whole family loves, the sides that have always been favorites.

We’ve fed a lot of these dinners over the years. If you want to order ahead for a specific time on a specific night, call (210) 750-2222 and we’ll make sure the timing is right. We can handle pickup orders staged for a specific window, or delivery to a home address anywhere in our delivery zone.

Catering for Military Events

Some homecomings and sendoffs turn into larger community events — welcome-home ceremonies, unit gatherings, base family events. For orders of 20 pizzas or more, our catering team handles the planning and logistics. We deliver to off-base locations and work with families who need staged pickup for base events.
