How Many Pizzas to Order for 10 People

Ten people is the most common group size that trips people up on pizza ordering. Too few pizzas and someone goes home hungry. Too many and you’re dealing with six leftover boxes. Here’s the math, and here’s how to order for 10 at Godfather’s without guessing.

The Baseline Math

A large pizza at Godfather’s yields 8 slices. Most adults eat 2–3 slices in a meal. For 10 people:

• Light eaters or pizza as part of a larger meal: 3 large pizzas (24 slices, 2.4 per person)
• Standard meal: 4 large pizzas (32 slices, 3.2 per person)
• Hungry group, active event, or kids who eat more than expected: 5 large pizzas (40 slices, 4 per person)

Our default recommendation for 10 people: 4 large pizzas. That’s the safe number. You’ll have a couple of slices left over rather than running short.

If you’re ordering mediums instead of larges: mediums give you 6 slices. For 10 people, order 5–6 mediums.

Which Pizzas to Order

Four large pizzas for 10 people is enough quantity — now the question is what to put in those four boxes. For a mixed group of 10:
