The Taco Pie is legendary at Godfather’s — it’s been the most-ordered pizza since we brought it back. The Super Taco takes that concept and turns up every dial. More toppings, sour cream in the build, black olives, and a taco packet with every slice. Here’s what makes it different and why it’s worth ordering.
What’s on the Super Taco?
The Super Taco is our Super Specialty tier taco pizza, and the ingredient list is longer than the classic Taco Pie. Here’s every topping:
- Taco Sauce
- Beef
- Black Olives
- Lettuce
- Onions
- Tomatoes
- Sour Cream
- Cheddar & Mozzarella
- Extra Cheddar
And every slice comes with a taco packet. That’s seasoning you can shake right onto your slice at the table — it’s one of those details that makes this pizza feel like an actual taco experience, not just a pizza with taco sauce on it.
Like the Taco Pie, the lettuce and tomatoes go on fresh after it comes out of the oven. You get the warm, melted cheese and hot beef underneath, then cold crisp lettuce and fresh tomatoes on top. That contrast is what makes the taco pizza concept work. Without it, you’d just have wilted lettuce and mushy tomatoes. We don’t do that.
Super Taco vs. Regular Taco Pie
Both start with Taco Sauce and beef as the base. The Taco Pie is the cleaner, more straightforward version — beef, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cheddar and mozzarella, extra cheddar. It comes in at $13.99–$34.50 in our specialty tier and is available on our full menu Mini through Large.
The Super Taco adds three things the Taco Pie doesn’t have: black olives, sour cream, and the taco seasoning packet per slice. The sour cream is the most noticeable upgrade — it adds a cooling richness that balances the heat of the taco sauce and the sharpness of the Extra Cheddar. Black olives add salt and a briny depth. And the taco packet is just fun in a way that makes the whole pizza feel more intentional.
If you want to see how the two compare side by side before you order, we go deeper on this in our guide to making Taco Pie at home — which also explains why the oven order of toppings matters.
Super Taco Pricing
The Super Taco sits in our Super Specialty tier, same as the Super Combo. It runs $15.99 to $37.75. That’s a step up from the standard specialty tier because of the topping volume and the taco packets included with every slice.
| Size | Price Range |
|---|---|
| Mini | Starting at $15.99 |
| Small | Super Specialty tier |
| Medium | Super Specialty tier |
| Large | Up to $37.75 |
A Large Super Taco feeds 3–5 people depending on how hungry everyone is. If you’re doing a taco night or just want something that feels like a party, this is the one. Check the top 5 pizzas for context on where the Super Taco fits in the overall lineup.
Best Crust for the Super Taco
Original crust is our call for the Super Taco. Here’s why: you’ve got sour cream, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and extra cheddar — that’s a lot of moisture and weight on top of a hot pizza. Original crust is thick enough to hold everything together from the first slice to the last. Thin crust can work if you want a lighter result, but it can get floppy under all that topping weight.
Golden crust adds a buttery richness that plays well with the taco sauce and beef. If you’ve had it on the regular Taco Pie and liked it, the same logic applies here. Just be aware the Golden crust version of a fully loaded Super Taco is a rich pizza — pace yourself. See all crust options if you haven’t decided yet.

Who Orders the Super Taco?
Everyone who tried the Taco Pie and wanted more. Regulars who want the full taco experience on a pizza. Families where half the table wants taco night and the other half wants pizza — this pizza is both. It’s also a great conversation starter at parties. Nobody ever sees a taco pizza arrive and feels neutral about it.
It shows up a lot around Cinco de Mayo. If you’re planning a party and want something that fits the occasion without ordering actual tacos, a Large Super Taco does exactly that. We’ve got more ideas on our Cinco de Mayo ideas page if you’re thinking ahead.
Veterans and Military families at JBSA come in for it regularly — taco pizza is a San Antonio thing, and we’ve got the best version of it right here on 151. Back after 35 years, and the Super Taco is one of the reasons people keep coming back.
What’s the difference between the Super Taco and the Taco Pie?
The Super Taco adds black olives, sour cream, and taco seasoning packets per slice to the Taco Pie base. It’s also in the Super Specialty pricing tier ($15.99–$37.75) compared to the Taco Pie’s specialty tier ($13.99–$34.50). The sour cream is the most notable addition — it adds a cooling richness to the whole pizza.
Does the Super Taco come with taco seasoning?
Yes — every slice includes one taco packet. It’s a separate seasoning packet you can shake onto your slice. This is a Super Taco exclusive — the regular Taco Pie doesn’t include the packets. You can also add extra sour cream packets for $0.99 each.
How much does the Godfather’s Super Taco cost?
The Super Taco runs $15.99 to $37.75 depending on size. It’s priced in the Super Specialty tier, one step above our standard specialty pizzas. The price range covers Mini through Large.
Is the lettuce added before or after baking?
After baking. The lettuce and tomatoes go on fresh once the pizza comes out of the oven. That’s what gives you the warm-bottom, cold-top contrast that makes taco pizza work. It’s not in the oven — it stays crisp.
What crust is best for the Super Taco?
We recommend Original crust. The thick base handles the weight of sour cream, fresh toppings, and extra cheese without getting soggy. Thin crust works if you want a lighter result, but it can get floppy toward the middle of a heavily topped slice.
