What Makes the Humble Pie Stand Out

The Humble Pie is built around Italian Sausage and Green Peppers. That combination gives it a slightly sweeter, more herby flavor profile compared to a standard pepperoni pizza. The green peppers add crunch and brightness. The Italian Sausage is more fragrant than plain sausage — there’s fennel in there, which is what gives Italian sausage that distinct flavor.

If you like a pizza that tastes cleaner and more veggie-forward without being a veggie pizza, the Humble Pie is your pick. It’s not shy on meat, but the green peppers and onions balance everything out. It’s the kind of pizza that doesn’t feel heavy even when you eat three slices.

What Makes the Classic Combo Different

The Classic Combo goes deeper. Three meats (Pepperoni, Beef, Sausage), plus Black Olives, Mushrooms, and Onions. This is a richer, heartier pizza. The beef adds weight that you don’t get on the Humble Pie. The black olives and mushrooms are earthy in a way the green peppers on the Humble Pie aren’t.

If you want a pizza that feels like a full meal, this is it. It’s a loaded pie — not as loaded as the All-Meat Combo or Super Combo, but enough to satisfy a serious appetite. Classic Combo fans tend to be people who want every bite to count. This pizza doesn’t have a light bite in the whole pie.

Crust Recommendations for Each

Both pizzas work on any of our crust options, but here’s what we’d recommend:

Humble Pie on Original Crust. The lighter topping profile pairs well with the chewier Original. You get the texture without the crust competing with the toppings.

Classic Combo on Golden Crust. Golden gives you a buttery, slightly crunchy base that holds up under the heavier toppings. The three meats and the olives and mushrooms need a crust with a little more structure. Golden delivers that.

Thin crust works for either if you’re trying to cut carbs or want a crispier bite. Mini and small sizes on thin are a great way to sample both side by side.

What to Pair With Each Pizza

Both pizzas work with the same sides, but here’s how we’d pair them:

Humble Pie pairs well with Cheesesticks. The lighter pizza and the buttery cheesesticks balance each other out. Add a garden salad and you’ve got a complete dinner that doesn’t feel too heavy. Good for a weeknight order or a smaller group where people want to eat and not feel like they overdid it.
