Godfather’s Pizza on 151 is Veteran-Owned and proud of it. San Antonio has always been a Military city, and we built this restaurant to serve it — from JBSA families to locals who grew up eating Godfather’s and had to wait 35 years for us to come back. Military families at Fort Sam Houston near JBSA can order delivery directly from us.
Proud to Be Veteran-Owned in San Antonio
San Antonio is one of the most Military-dense cities in the country. JBSA covers Lackland, Fort Sam Houston, and Randolph. Military families live here, rotate through here, and put down roots here. We know that community because we’re part of it.
The owner served, came home to San Antonio, and looked around for the thing he missed most. Godfather’s Pizza was a fixture on the west side for years before it disappeared. After 35 years, we brought it back. Read the full story on our comeback story page.
This isn’t a corporate franchise operated from a distance. It’s a local owner, a crew that knows the regulars, and a kitchen that makes the pizza the same way every time because that’s what the people who grew up eating it expect.
Why Support Veteran-Owned Businesses
When you spend your money at a Veteran-Owned business, it goes back into a household that served. That’s a real thing, not a marketing line. Veterans who start businesses bring the same discipline and commitment to their shop that they brought to their service. The standards don’t go away — they just get redirected.
San Antonio has a long tradition of supporting Military families and Veteran entrepreneurs. Choosing a Veteran-Owned restaurant for your weekly order, your team lunch, or your family dinner is one of the lowest-effort ways to keep that tradition going. The food is good, the business is local, and the owner served. That’s the whole pitch.
What makes us different from other pizza spots isn’t just the menu — it’s who owns it and why it’s here.
Our Story: 35 Years, One Location, Real Food
Godfather’s Pizza had a serious presence in San Antonio for decades. The buffet, the familiar crust, the recipes that felt like home — people who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s remember it. Then it was gone.
Our owner spent years in the Military, came back to San Antonio, and brought Godfather’s back with him. The restaurant on 151 isn’t a new concept — it’s a restoration. The same brand, the same recipes, the same commitment to feeding the west side and the JBSA community that supported the original location.
If you’re new to Godfather’s, read the about us page for the full background. If you remember us from before, welcome back. The Taco Pie is exactly how you remember it.
What We Offer
We run a full pizza restaurant — dine-in, carryout, and delivery. The menu covers specialty pizzas, create-your-own, wings, sides, salads, and desserts. Everything is made fresh and available during open hours.
For group orders and events, our catering handles everything from small team lunches to large events. JBSA units, family gatherings, church events, school functions — we’ve done them all.
The feasts are the best value for groups: the Build Your Own Feast (Mediums) starts at $35.99 for 4–6 people. The Pizza Pack (four large pizzas) is $75.00 for 12–16 people. Call us for custom orders if you’ve got a specific headcount or a dietary need to work around.
The full menu is online. Prices are real, portions are generous, and the kitchen is run by people who take the food seriously.
The JBSA Connection
A significant part of our customer base is active-duty Military families, Veterans who settled in San Antonio after service, and the civilian families who live and work alongside the JBSA communities. We know those neighborhoods. We know the schedule. We know what game night looks like when you’ve just come off a long week.
Veteran-Owned doesn’t mean exclusive to Veterans — it means the owner knows what service looks like and built a restaurant that reflects those values. Good food, honest prices, consistent quality, and a kitchen that shows up every day.
